Brian Tubbs has served as the Senior Pastor of Olney Baptist Church since September 2009. He has been in full-time Christian ministry (as a pastor and also as a Christian school teacher and administrator) since 2002. Prior to the ministry, he worked for several non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC area, focusing on project management, membership development, public relations, and lobbying.
Pastor Tubbs holds a B.A. in Government and Politics from George Mason University, a M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty Theological Seminary (Liberty University), and a Certificate in Christian Apologetics from Biola University.
He and his wife, Jane, have been married for 26 years and have two teenaged children. They enjoy watching the Washington Redskins (at least when they win), vacationing at the beach, and all-you-can-eat seafood buffets with Alaskan crab legs.
Youth & Children's Pastor
Pastor Kyle has worked at OBC since 2016. He has worked with students and children for 10 years. Prior to OBC, Kyle also worked worked with college students.
Kyle holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary studies with Christian Studies and Communications at North Greenville University is Greenville, SC. He is currently working on his Masters on Family Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Kyle and his wife, Kristin have been married for 4 years and have a 2 year old son name Sawyer Engle. They love to go camping, hiking, and doing anything outdoors.
Praise Band Leader
Daniel was born in Maryland but grew up on the mission field before returning to Maryland for college. He has had the pleasure of leading the worship ministry since 2016. Daniel has a BS in microbiology, MS in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control, and is working towards a PhD in Epidemiology. In addition to his role as a graduate teaching assistant and research assistant at George Washington University, he is also a faculty member in the Department of International Health at John Hopkins University.
Daniel likes to spend time with family and friends during his free time, and enjoys coffee, music, and soccer.
Kristin Engle has served OBC since February 2017. She was born and raised in South Carolina, and lived in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband Kyle and son Sawyer before relocating to Maryland. She holds a bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from North Greenville University and she enjoys hiking, painting, cooking, and woodworking.
